Mark William, born Mark William Mitchell, moved to New Mexico at the age of ten. The vast and simple beauty of New Mexico captivated him early on, and he started documenting family trips, journeys, and vacations with his father's Kodak 110 Instamatic. It was the beginning of a life-long journey behind the lens.
In 1982, Mark William embarked upon his professional life with a career in law enforcement. His passion for photography steered him into the crime scene and evidence collection segment of law enforcement. Processing crime scenes through the visual medium of photography, his photographs have been utilized in criminal prosecutions at the municipal, state and federal levels. A successful career allowed Mark William to retire from law enforcement and focus on establishing his own photography business.
Through hard work, determination and the support of his wife, his goal has been achieved. Mark William now photographs a brighter side of life, the region's diverse geography and architecture, under the name of Mark William Photography.
